It’s amongst Robert Ludlum’s lesser known spy novels:?The Bourne Spinoff.
Okay, this is not a proper thing. But a Jason Bourne spinoff?is?coming to television soon.?Variety?reports that USA Network has greenlit a?Treadstone?series, good clandestine spy group featured inside the Ludlum novels and films
The series, that’s originally ordered to pilot the government financial aid April, centers on the fictional CIA black ops program Operation?Treadstone, which had been this course that created superspy Jason Bourne. The covert program uses behavior modification protocol in order to turn recruits into nearly superhuman assassins. The 1st season follows sleeper agents throughout the world as they are mysteriously “awakened” to resume their deadly missions. The series goes into production in 2019.
The Bourne franchise had become the signature spy selection of the 2000s, as a result of Matt Damon’s haunted performance as amnesiac secret agent Jason Bourne, and?Paul Greengrass’ taut, handheld action scenes. But previous efforts to extend the franchise were less successful.?The Bourne Legacy, with Jeremy Renner as?an equivalent Treadstone agent (using a hunger for chems!), was as critical flop and stays the series’ lowest-grossing film. After that, Damon and Greengrass were coaxed out of?Bourne retirement for?Jason Bourne, though which had been a commercial disappointment as well.
Damon and Greengrass aren’t mixed up in spinoff, that is to be produced by?Tim Kring and directed (as a minimum for any pilot) by Ramin Bahrani. The Treadstone series goes into production in 2019.
