Since getting nominated on an Oscar this year, Call Me From your Name star?Timothe Chalamet?has become busy building?quite the resum. He chopped off his hair to experiment with Henry V next, he’s reuniting with?Lady Bird?director Greta Gerwig on her?Little Women, and he’ll star in Denis Villeneuve’s?Dune. To start with all that, they have a fresh drama emerging.
In Beautiful Boy, Chalamet plays Nic, a fresh college kid who struggles with meth addiction. The film derives from Danish director Felix van Groeningen (The Broken Circle Breakdown) which is determined by two memoirs created by son and father Nic and David Sheff. Steve Carell plays his father, who takes him to rehab and tries to realize what his son his dealing with. When the new trailer proves anything, it’s that Chalamet is heck of a great on-screen crier C but someone who saw the?Call Me By Your Name?credits knows it.
The film made its premiere with the Toronto Film Festival earlier this year, while I wasn’t hot for it, it can feature another solid performance from Chalamet.?And you will anticipate seeing?him during the awards race there is much surprise, though from the Supporting race?these times.?Beautiful Boy, this stars Maura Tierney and Amy Ryan, hits theaters October 12.
