The earliest teaser with the new show from?Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner is here now. There’s certainly no?actual footage,?but watching?animated on-screen text introduce the?stacked cast is?surprisingly exciting. Somehow, it simply just get better; Andrew Rannells,?Christina Hendricks, Diane Lane?! Kathryn Hahn, John Slattery, Amanda Peet, pardon me, does that say ISABELLE HUPPERT?! Is the the most effective cast ever?
Amazon dropped the newest teaser for Weiner’s?The Romanoffs over the weekend within the TCA press tour. The current day anthology series will abide by eight?separate stories about individuals who believe they’re descendants?from the Romanovs, the royal family and 2nd dynasty to rule Russia?who are?executed via the Bolsheviks in 1918. All eight stories are placed in various locations with various casts, so that the great deal of actors makes sense.?The other cast includes (deep breath slowly)?Mad Men alums Jay R. Ferguson and Cara Buono, Aaron Ekhart, Griffin Dunne, Mary Kay Place, Ron Livingston, Clea DuVall, Jack Huston, Corey Stoll, Paul Reiser, Janet Montgomery, Marthe Keller, Noah Wyle, Hugh Skinner, Juan Pablo Casta?eda, and even more.
The new series faced potential delays over one reason regarding sexual misconduct last fall. First,?Amazon reviewed its dedication to?Weiner’s show, which?was obviously a co-production together with the Weinstein Company. Eventually?Amazon?cut ties following your sexual assault allegations against Weinstein. But soon there after that,?Mad Men writer Kater Gordon accused Weiner of sexual harassment,?which producer Marti Noxon secured, calling Weiner an “emotional terrorist.”?Weiner denied the allegations, as?The Romanoffs gets much better its debut, seems like Amazon has?swept it underneath the rug as well.
The Romanoffs debuts on Amazon on October 12.
